At Matua Gardens Retreat we create accommodation packages with gourmet cuisine matched with fine wines. We specialise in celebrations.

Once guests have chosen their menu & given an indication of any wine style preferences they may have, we email the menu to Brian or Dean at Hemingway Fine Wines. They then choose suitable wines to complement the food and we either collect or they courier the wines to us.

Each wine list is tailored specifically to each menu. These constantly change with seasonal availability and guest tastes so being able to call on the expertise at Hemingway's is a valuable addition to our service

All our guests have been extremely happy with the choices. International guests have been exposed to a variety of good New Zealand wines and New Zealand guests are often treated to something from foreign shores.

The advantage for us is that we have access to a much wider range of wines than we would by having our own cellar and having the expertise of Brian and Dean on call is as good as having our own sommelier on site.

The range and quality of wines available from Hemingway Fine Wines means that we can supply something for everybody. There have been some absolutely inspired combinations of wine & food and many a guest has expressed absolute delight at trying something different and sometimes, unexpected.

The service at Hemingway's is efficient and friendly and we are delighted with their contribution to the success of our business.
