Lonestone Marlborough Pinot Gris 2008
Generous, ripe stonefruit characters flow from this nicely textured gris that's full on the palate. The wine has good acid balance and its dry finish makes it highly suitable for a wide selection of foods. This would be as good a value as any Marlborough P/G we have seen and to equal the value is the Lonestone Sauvignon Blanc which sells for the same price.
RRP $20.90/btl. Our special low price only $14.90

Mt Beautiful Sauvignon Blanc 2008
If you've ever driven through Cheviot you will have noticed a substantial vineyard planting adjacent to a 90 degree bend - that's Mt Beautiful. Their wines are creating attention. Michael Cooper said of the savvy: "Standout wine. Richly scented, mouthfilling with intense, vibrant passionfruit/lime flavours and a deliciously smooth, dry finish." We agree with Michael on this one! The label also has a pinot noir 2007 available, and it has lots of merit, too.
RRP $21.50. Our special low price only $16.90

Armantes Old Bush Vine Garnacha 2006
"Wine Of The Year" in the Indispensable Wine Guide 2009 for wines under $25. And we will sell it to you at way under that price. The secret of this wine is that it is made from 50-year-old vines at high altitude and that results in intensely flavoured grapes. The wine has great concentration, is rich with red berry flavours and has fantastic length for a wine of this price.
RRP $19/btl. Super value at your low price of only $16.90/btl

The Crater Rim Canterbury Pinot Noir 2008
Just recently released, this is highly perfumed with floral notes and red berries. On
the palate the wine displays a lovely, velvety texture with fine tannins, good acid and balance. This is a wine made from predominantly 17 year old vines and it's more feminine in style with some complexity and restraint as opposed to some of its contempories that are gruntier and less delicate. A very fine wine in the tradition of The Crater Rim.
RRP $25/btl. Your special low price only $22.50/btl

Trinity Hill "The Trinity" 2005
A Bordeaux style blend that is made from Cab Sav, Cab Franc and Merlot. The combination of these three varieties, vinified separately, by John Hancock, is displaying the benefits of some bottle age, resulting in this well-integrated and balanced wine. This style of wine has come a long way forward in NZ in the past few years and the value it offers is astounding.
RRP $24.50. Our ridicuously low special price is just $17.90/btl
