Cheesemongers will be adjacent selling their cheeses, in-shop we will be holding a wine and cheese matching with the
Tresillian Wines from West Melton All profits from the sausage sizzle will go to the Red Cross Earthquake relief fund.
Come down to Hemingway Fine Wines at 2pm to support
the Red Cross Appeal at our Sausage sizzle
and try some cheese and wine matches
We all had a wonderful day last Friday at Hemingway with some outstanding wines from open from Cloudy Bay, Torlesse and Trinity Hill. We had a nice selection of wines to match with three equally outstanding cheeses that included the Hommage Dutch Goats Cheese. There was no doubt this cheese was an outstanding match with the Pelorus NV. On the other hand, the unpasterised Swiss Gruyere was a stunning match with the Torlesse Riesling 2009. It's lots of fun trying all these cheeses with different wines and we have a multitude of new matches to try this week. Come and join in the fun and support the Red Cross appeal by buying a banger of considerable quality made by Peter Timbs Butchers of St Albans. See you here

Gosset Grand Reserve Champagne - Save 42% on RRP
Gosset is the oldest wine house in Champagne and one of the very best. The Grande Reserve
is one of the most finessed and distinguished champagnes you could ever taste, made from a
blend of 43% chardonnay, 42% pinot noir and 15% pinot meunier from 3 vintages and it has always been one of our favourites - now look at the price! In style this is very like Bollinger and also it doesn't undergo malolactic so it's a very good keeper in the bottle. If ever you wanted to try one of the great champagnes for the skinniest price of all time and celebrate surviving the ChCh earthquake, here's your chance.
RRP is $103/btl. Our special price is only $59.90/btl - WOW

Duval-Leroy Fleur de Champagne Brut NV
Duval-Leroy is another great name in Champagne that makes stunning bubbly out of its modern winery in Vertuis in the south. The House is one of the largest landowners in Champagne and this is a family owned operation run by Carol Duval-Leroy; the winemaker is also female as are most of the employees - and guess what - the house style brut NV shown at right is very feminine in style with lots of elegance, a fine mousse and delicate finish. Quite the opposite in style from the Gosset above but no less attractive in its own right. Duval-Leroy (pronounced Duval-le wha) is rated in the top 15 houses in Champagne.
RRP $81/btl, our special price only $59.90/btl - fantastic buying
