The Ultimate challenge for two regions both of which are gaining a growing
reputation of their quality Rieslings. Now we will pitt them together - the flights
from the same vintage, same style and approximately the same price, give or take a
few dollars. Which region will come out on top - you be the judge.

grape. Most Rieslings are dry to medium dry but proof of its
versatility is that it can make the richest and sweetest dessert
wines of the world. Another marked feature is Rieslings' firmness,
almost steeliness of body, and fresh, crisp, fruity acidity."

Mike and Claudia Weersing are making some of NZ's best wine. Their second launch of the 'home pinots' is about to happen and this may be your only opportunity to taste them - The Angel Flower 2007 and the Earth Smoke 2007. In addition, we will taste other new releases that includes their Cabernet Franc 2007 plus two Late Harvest wines, a Riesling and a Semillon. Then there is the Pinot Blanc and two more Rieslings and possibly the stunning wine 'Cuvee Hemingway' depending on whether or not it's ready. Nine or 10 wines total.
