Ice bucket and six flutes free with Chandon Brut NV
|
 |
Chandon Brut NV
Light golden colour with persistent bead and a very fine mousse. Aromas of lifted spice and fig with honey and floral notes are immediately evident. Secondary biscuity aromas, whisps of honeysuckle and enchanting hints of candied peel, angelica and dried apricot. The front and middle palate is round and creamy, the flavours are complex and discernible. Mouthfilling expressions of bakery and croissants, peach and pear flans, almond and citrus. The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes are harvested and pressed to techniques very similiar to parent company Moët et Chandon. The batches are vinified separately to maintain purity.
Buy a 6/btl case for only $150 ($25/btl) and receive free six flutes and the Chandon Perspects Ice bucket valued at $150
....also available with the Chandon Rose NV

Moet Vintage 2000 - save 30%
Comes in great packaging with a Gift Box that presents as one of the best we've seen. Great for a gift for any occasion. The vintage Moet has a leaning towards perfumed pinot noir aromas with a mellow richness of fruit on the palate - this is one of the best bargains we have seen amongst all the vintages in Champagne. The style is very pleasing, like the non-vintage with richness that exudes complexity. On the eye it's a bright canary yellow color; hints of lemon, mineral and lime also on the nose with citrus freshness in the mouth while retaining its cream palate with good balance. When you buy this you're getting vintage for a non-vintage price.
RRP $115/btl. Our special price only $84.00 - save 30%

Richardson Central Otago Pinot Noir 2007
The 2007 vintage was an outstanding one for Central Otago and Michelle Richardson (ex Peregrine and Villa Maria winemaker) has excelled with her own label here - this could be the best wine Michelle has ever made and she is one of NZ's most awarded winemakers. Black flesh fruits are dominant on the nose, with subtle spices, which will form savoury notes as this wine matures. Velvet and slightly chalky tannins create a template for the rich fruit and the careful use of oak, forming a wine of elegance and complexity and fabulous longevity potential.
RRP is $45.90/btl. Our special price to you is only $40.90/btl

Gustave Lorentz Pinot Gris d'Alsace Reserve 2008
The most popular wine at our Alsace tasting a couple of weeks back was this very textured, concentrated, mouthfilling pinot gris. The nose was restrained as is often the case with this variety but the palate made up for it with layers of flavours dominated by pear and stone fruit characters. Good palate weight, balance and length of finish make this wine worth trying, and trying again. Excellent value considering the quality.
RRP is $29.90. Our special price for you is $26.90

Just kidding about the pooch. Used to have a dog named 'Flip' just like the Beagle above, a long time ago, and would like to have some nice leather back seats like the one in the pic, but preferably without the scratch marks. The photo has been doctored in Photoshop.

Torres Sangre de Toro 2007
Great to have this wine back in stock at such a low price. Sangre de Toro is made from old vine Garnacha and Carinena and has been produced by this family owned winery for over 50 years. If you like Grenache and paying hardly any money for a very good wine then this is for you. Deep ruby colour with a hint of ochre. Rich complex Mediterranean aromas with exuberant notes of spices and blackberries. Velvety tannins are noted on the palate with elegant flavours of licorice and small dark forest fruits.
RRP is $21.50/btl. Our special price is only $16.90/btl.

ARA Pathway Marlborough Pinot Noir 2008
Great buying pinot noir for under $20. We all liked this wine when we first tasted it and it has become a favourite. It has very good varietal character, is in excellent balance with good fruit and structure, and delivers plenty for the price. It's not very typical of your run of the mill Marlborough Pinot Noir off non-clay terroir and it finishes dry and very nicely. A bargain.
RRP $19.90/btl. Your price is just $17.90/btl
