Penfolds Private Bin Aged Release Eden Valley Riesling 2000
Only 30 six-bottle cases came to NZ we we secured just five. This is the 2000 vintage aged release and it is a gem just like 1998 was. In my view the best wine product from Australia is Riesling and there is nothing better than when it's aged. It's dry and therefore food friendly; there is a toasty aroma and a nice balance between it's floral character and acidity. Very good now, this will age beautifully and it's really one to keep for a few years.
RRP is $25.90/btl. This one-off offer is for just $22.90/btl |

Pyramid Valley Vineyards Growers Collection Pinot Noir 2004
I keep going on about this wine because I like it better every time I try it. And I believe it's better than lots of pinot noirs that are far more expensive. Too many NZ pinots are sweet, over extracted fruit bombs but this wine is balanced with a combo of spice, fruit, earth and fine-grained tannins. As well, its starts with a lifted fragance of cherries and finishes persistently long. It's damn good.
RRP is $45.90. Our special price to you $40.90/btl. Only 200 cases made |

Ostler Waitaki Valley Pinot Gris 2006
Ostler is a winemaking venture driven by the passion to produce excellence. Their 'Audrey's' Pinot Gris 2006 from their home vineyard in the Waitaki Valley is delicious , exhibiting pear, stone-fruit and spice in a dry style. Most of all it has rich mouthfeel and this variety being only semi-aromatic is often let down by some labels by being thin and somewhat characterless. Suggest you give this a whirl if you're serious about serious pinot gris.
RRP is $31.50. Your price on this special offer $27.90/btl |

Pyramid Valley Growers Collection Hille Vineyards Semillon 2005
Semillion is not a big hit in NZ but regardless of the popularity of this grape which does so well in Sauterne and some parts of Australia this would be one of the best NZ whites I have tasted. If you like salmon and you match it with this 'stunner' you may experience something 'ethereal.' Look, if you haven't tried it by now and you're reading this then 'how much encouragement do you require! Only 200 cases were made - about 50 left.
RRP is $31.50/btl. At $28.30/btl an absolute bargain. |

Whitehaven Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2006
Simon Waghorn has carved out a reputation for his Astrolabe but this lesser heralded Waghorn made savvy is superb and we highly recommend it. It has all the hallmarks of a good Marborough savvy - gooseberry, citrus, passionfruit and capsicum - but this has extra in the form of concentration which produces a long, clean finish. If you're into savvy, you must try it!
RRP is $21.90/btl. Our price to you is just $19.50/btl |

Tondonia Reserva Rioja 1998
Old world Rioja made in the most traditional and classical way by Lopez de Heredia. This wine is made from very old Tempranillo, Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano grapes and aged for 6 years in casks prior to release. The use no pesticides, irrigation or chemicals, use only natural yeasts and do not filter - this is the way they have been making their wine for 130 years. Wine writer Tim Atkin recently described Tondonia as one of the world's greatest wines.
RRP is $65/btl. Our special price with limited stock is $58.50/btl |
