Canterbury Cheesemongers will be at Hemingway Fine Wines this Friday between 2pm and 7pm  and we'll be open as usual until at least 7pm. You can't hold down a good cheesemonger so we're excited about them selling their fab cheeses right here at Hemingway Fine Wines. Martin and Sarah's cheese shop didn't survive the Earthquake so each Friday from now until they move into new and permanent premises they will be selling cheese at the Hemingway shop. To celebrate we are going to put on a free wine and cheese tasting in-shop during those hours
- be here to try some splendid matches when you get your cheese and wine. As well, we'll be offering some amazing wine specials at unbeatable prices - come and try them out. See you here.

Cloudy Bay, Torlesse and Trinity Hill wines are just three of the wineries who are supporting a return of the Canterbury Cheesemongers to the Christchurch CBD. Their wines will be open for a free wine/cheese matching when they purchase their wine/cheese between 2pm and 7pm Friday, 1st October. Duval-Leroy Fleur de Champagne Brut NV

Duval-Leroy is another great name in Champagne that makes stunning bubbly out of its modern winery in Vertuis in the south. The House is one of the largest landowners in Champagne and this is a family owned operation run by Carol Duval-Leroy; the winemaker is also female as are most of the employees - and guess what - the house style brut NV shown at right is very feminine in style with lots of elegance, a fine mousse and delicate finish. Quite the opposite in style from the Gosset above but no less attractive in its own right. Duval-Leroy (pronounced Duval-le wha) is rated in the top 15 houses in Champagne.
