A line-up of tastings this good within the space of one month is something we have not previously offered. These are serious tastings and I strongly recommend you try and attend some, if not all. Rioja has always been a favourite of mine and the Tondonia/Bosconia wines as well as exquisit are 'old world.' traditional style of the past 120 years.  The Champagne tasting will include the Cuvee Sir Winston Churchill and it's worth attending just for that - Pol Roger's Laurent d'Harcourt is out from France to do this tasting. Cloudy Bay Senior Winemaker Eveline Fraser is honouring us with a visit on 25 October when we will taste their entire line-up, and launch the 2007 Savvy. Finally, we conclude the 'fab four' with the Guigal Tasting when 10 wines will be examined with Negociants Fine Wine Consultant Andrew Parkinson and they will include Cote-Rotie, Hermitage, Condrieu and Chateauneuf-du-Papes (all $90 to$200 wines). Andrew has also said he will throw in something really special - perhaps it will be La Landonne or La Turque? Can't wait for that one. See you soon!

Rioja - tasting the great, traditional  wines of the region with winemaker Mike Weersing

The wines of Lopez de Herdia define traditional Rioja and set the standards by which the regions modern reds are judged.
